What we collect
When you create a Trendn account we store your email address, an encrypted password (managed by Supabase Auth), and the timestamp of your sign-up. If you upgrade to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details — Trendn never sees or stores your full card number.
When you use the product we record which trends you view, the videos you analyze, and the alerts you create, so we can show you personalized history and improve the underlying recommendations.
What we don't collect
We don't use third-party advertising trackers. We don't sell your data. We don't require linking a social account to sign up — you can use Trendn without ever connecting a TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, or Bluesky profile.
Public trend data
The trend data Trendn surfaces is collected from public APIs and public web pages on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, and Bluesky. We do not access private accounts, private posts, or private messages.
How long we keep it
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be kept indefinitely for product improvement.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account data at any time from your account settings. If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
